Creative inspiring people
Posted by Renske Versluijs
Did you know that everyone I photographed in my studio is someone I know personally? There are some real inspiring women (and men) amongst them, like Lisanne who has her own ceramics collection, Henja who is a portrait photographer and Carlien, founder of a screen printing workspace. I started this project two years ago and am proud to have portrayed such a diverse group of inspiring people. Meet the first ones!
Muriel is co-owner and founder of YES! WE CONNECT
. It is a company that connects people on the company floors. The goal of the company is to pass on the magical power of connection to employees worldwide. Muriel brought her own kobalt blue outfit to the photoshoot, love it!
Carlien is DJ and screen printer. She is co-owner of the screen printing workspace Kapitaal. Kapitaal is an open studio for screen printing, etching and riso in Utrecht with a program full of exhibitions, lectures and music. Carlien and Ramon provide an atmospheric place where craftsmanship, design and pop culture come together.
Lisanne van Zanten founded her own ceramics company in 2012. She works in a studio at Kanaal 30 in Utrecht. Lisanne's philosophy is: you will enjoy life more if you use both functional and beautiful products. If you want to have a go at making ceramics yourself, you can do a workshop in Lisanne's studio.
Fenny Faber owns a slow fashion label called FENNY FABER
. She started her label in 2008. Her collections are about minimalism, sustainability and comfort. You can find her collection at PUHA shop.
Henja is founder of Wunderlust. She is a portrait photographer. Her specialisation is to photograph people that are camera shy or don't like to stand in front of the camera. Fun fact; she also portraits dogs under the name Wunderwuf.
